Since 2005 a small group of people interested in Mulbarton’s history and heritage have organised talks on various local heritage topics; local walks and trips out; and initiated projects to map and copy gravestones in local churchyards, transcribe the parish registers and research the Mulbarton men who served in WW1. However, several of the group have now resigned on health grounds – THANKS to them for their many years of service! Sadly, our pleas over the past three or so years for others to continue the work we started has received nil response. So we have wound up the group, donated the funds in the bank (£150) to NORAH, the Norfolk Archives charity, but kept a float of £30 should anyone want to organise further meetings or activities. Get in touch with me if you wish to access this. I will also continue to maintain the three local history websites: www.mulbartonhistory.or.uk www.bracon-ash-and-hethel-history.webnode.com www.flordonhistory.webnode.com You can still make your contribution of memories, photos, etc. via the ‘CONTACT US’ page.
