 Village Games Co-ordinator Needed!

Active Norfolk are asking villages across the county to assemble squads of players to compete in different sports varying from 5-a-side football, short mat bowls, tennis, athletics, table tennis, badminton, rounders, fitness triathlon, archery, netball and darts. People of all ages and abilities are invited to take part. Does this sound like anyone you know?

We are currently trying to identify a new Village Games Co-ordinator for the village of Mulbarton, who would take responsibility for putting a team together and help to organise a sports roadshow for the village. Each co-ordinator will be offered a small financial incentive and continual support from the Rural Sports Development Officer for South Norfolk.

South Norfolk teams will be heading to Framingham Earl Sports Centre on Sunday 10th June 2012 to take part in the district’s Village Games competition.   The County finals (should Mulbarton be successful at the district finals) will be held at the UEA Sportspark on Sunday 15th July 2012.

In 2011, a massive 88 villages from across the county have taken part in the project and an incredible 2,500 participants attended the 6 district games. In South Norfolk, a total of 18 villages participated in the district's village games. Don’t let your village miss out!

If you would like to co-ordinate a team or represent your village in the South Norfolk Village Games please contact Ellen Vanlint on: 01603 731566 or ellen.vanlint@activenorfolk.org for further details or visit Active Norfolk’s website: www.activenorfolk.org/villagegames

Mulbarton Parish Council
have received a number of e-mails and phone calls
about dogs fouling the footpath on Long Lane
between the new development and the School.
and I have been asked to add...
"... about dog fouling in Birchfield Lane
no excuses - as there are dog bins - each end and in middle...."

This is extremely unpleasant for everybody, is a health risk to
children and unfairly reflects on the majority of considerate dog
owners.

It is also against the law. The fine is £80.00 (reduced to £60.00 if
paid within 10 days) and can be up to £1000 if taken to Court.
